HUNGER RELIEF AND GLOBAL MISSION
Christ’s Kitchen
Helping out those who have “more month than money,” CLC members host a free community meal on the last Wednesday and Thursday of each month. Everyone is welcome with no questions or qualifications. Highchairs are provided for children and guests are served at their tables as in a restaurant.
Red Wagon Sunday
On the third Sunday of each month during the regular offering, children of the congregation bring around little red wagons to collect pocket change and then place them beneath the alter. The offerings collected are donated to Lutheran World Relief and to the local food pantries.
Also, CLC members regularly donate service time, food items, and cash to the Libby and Troy food pantries.
Missionaries Justin and Kari Eller in Bolivia
Christ Lutheran is a sponsoring congregation for the work being done in Bolivia by accompanying missionaries Justin and Kari Eller. They are working as partners with the Bolivian Lutheran Church to strengthen education and help develop a stronger Christian church which also empowers women and respects the culture of Bolivia’s indigenous Aymara peoples.
